Presentation of Research centres, groups and/ or teams.

Research Centre for High Tech Products for Automotives - it focuses on research, development and evaluation of all automotive systems. The centre employs a multidisciplinary team of researchers whose objectives are to improve the combustion processes of the engine, car safety, vehicle dynamics, new materials for vehicles and the efficiency of the transport system. The team develops research related to the following topics: the combustion processes of internal combustion engines with traditional and alternative power supply; vehicle dynamics; traffic, transport and interaction with the environment; accidentology and road safety; design, modeling and research of systems and components for vehicles; alternative sources of propulsion for vehicles; design and research components and systems, including light alloys, plastics, ceramics, composites, with magnetic shape memory structures and superalloys. These research groups work in cooperation with industry and international partners to solve complex automotive and transportation problems through advanced technology. These activities overlap with the profile of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Automotive and Transport Engineering, the department which the centre belong to.
